The Problem

Campus sports ran on WhatsApp groups and paper scoresheets — live scores were lost, house standings were disputed, and athletes never knew when or where they were playing.

The Solution

A single digital hub for the college championship: sideline live scoring, real-time house standings, fixtures, player statistics, and role-based dashboards for athletes, captains, coaches and scorers — every event played on campus between the houses.

Key Features

  • Live scoring feed with real-time tickers synced to campus fans
  • House championship standings with point rollups across sports
  • Athlete registration, rosters, and player statistics
  • Fixtures, scheduling, and grounds bookings
  • Multi-role dashboards — athlete, captain, coach, and scorer
  • House pages with mottos, leadership, and sport-by-sport splits

Where to Use It

  • Colleges and schools running inter-house or intramural sports
  • Any tournament that needs live scoring, standings, and registration in one place

Architecture

Next.js App Router with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Framer Motion. Live scores update in real time to spectator views, and each role is served an adaptive dashboard scoped to what that user can do.

Results

The campus championship's digital operating hub — one source of truth for scores, standings, fixtures, and registration.

Timeline

Real launch — built for an on-campus championship

Lessons Learned

  • · Real-time standings only matter if scorers can input results from the sideline in seconds.
  • · Role-specific dashboards beat one crowded interface — an athlete and a scorer need different things.

Future Improvements

  • · Push notifications for fixtures and live match events
  • · Season archives and a permanent hall of fame
